Each Facet has a Glow that it can lend to an Annex or Descendant under certain circumstances. This proficiency allows Characters to create a Descendant with the Glow by storing Chi in the Descendant to create a Monolith (or Artefact).
Glow Freebie
A Freebie Glow makes an Annex or Descendant no longer have any Umbral Costs including all Umbral Tangles, on any Action or activation (all though Difficulty modifiers such as Range or Targets and Nimbed Tangles will still apply).
